PLANET CREATION OF WORLDS AND THE BIG FAT ZINE is an independent publication showcasing the results of an artistic research project developed within the educational program Planet School—a collaboration between the fashion brand Planet, the independent art space Kamba, and the workshop “End of the World” created together with students from the School of Applied Arts and Design (ŠPUD).
The thematic focus explored the idea of the “end of the world” as the beginning of something new—questioning endings not as final closures, but as openings for change, transformation, and creation. The project began with the idea of the end of the world yet concluded with Creation of Worlds, because no destruction could overcome the power of creation.
The publication brought together documentation of workshops and the works of students from the School of Applied Arts and Design, the Academy of Fine Arts, and the Design Department (Planet School) in Zagreb, created between March and July 2025.
The works were developed through workshops that encouraged reflection on social crises, personal experiences, and the potential of artistic expression in uncertain times. Using typography, text, photography, fashion, and screen printing, participants explored the “end of the world” as both a personal and collective turning point.
The project was presented at the 60th Zagreb Salon, hosted at Planet’s space in Ilica 37.
Alongside the student works, the publication included documentation of Planet as a contemporary fashion brand, as well as the collaboration between Planet and the Kongres Collective, who developed independent models of cultural production and collaborative practices.
